Bien de Altura is a wine brand founded in 2017 by Carmelo Peña Santana. The winery was created with the aim of reviving Gran Canaria's wine-making potential, honoring the legacy of past generations and adapting it to the challenges of the present.

The project stems from the desire to showcase a neglected area in the heart of the island, San Mateo, where we work with old vines and native varieties located on the slopes of the mountains, all above 1,100 meters in altitude. These conditions allow us to produce fresher, less alcoholic wines, where the orientation of each plot plays a key role in our style.
